What is QuickSupport?

Our technicians sometimes need to log into your PC to help support you.  We use a trusted software created by TeamViewer to connect and control your PC as if they were sitting in front of the machine itself.

What is installed?

TeamViewer QuickSupport runs as a single executable file and is not installed onto your machine.  It allows you to accept incoming connections to your PC from our support technicians.  If your IT have already installed the TeamViewer client, our QuickSupport software doesn’t download and instead uses the existing client.

Can I end access?

We can only access your machine when you give us access to it.  Once you close one of our QuickSupport sessions, we can no longer see or control your PC.

So what happens next?

When you click the Download TeamViewer QuickSupport button, it will open a new tab in your web browser and start the download of TeamViewerQS.exe.  You will see our company logo at the top of the page.  Once the file has downloaded, you will need to run it.  Usually there will be a prompt in your browser, but if not you should be able to find the file in your Downloads folder.

And if I’m unsure?

If you’re running the QuickSupport from the button above, then this will always connect you to our support software.  Be wary of anyone asking to connect to your PC when you have not requested it yourself.  We will always have spoken with someone in your company beforehand so ask them or us to verify the individual we’re dealing with.  You can also double check that it’s us you’re speaking with by calling us back on 0191 414 4241 and opting to speak with the support team.
